OIL DIPSTICKS

Description

The oil dipstick is a metal element used to accurately determine the amount of lubricant in a vehicle. It is sometimes topped by a plastic indicator at one end, while the opposite end usually has a ring for easy removal. Two marks are shown on the tip of the dipstick: an upper one indicating the maximum level, and a lower one indicating the minimum oil level with which the engine can operate.
